Very rare beautiful soviet dress watch Sputnik made by Chistopol Watch Factory (later renamed to Wostok) and was dedicated to the launch of the first artificial Earth satellite in 4 October 1957, this watch is a part of dawn space history of all mankind. Special features of this watch is rotating disc with satellite that shows seconds in disc hole. Also watch is waterproof, shockproof and has Breguet type hairspring that can be found only in some luxury watches. This is great collectible historical timekeeper in gorgeous condition!
Watch is refurbished in waterproof (tested) chrome plated watch case (stainless steel back) in excellent condition with some minor signs of use and looks just awesome. New dial and hands is a copy of original, hands with luminous coating that shines. Original manual wind movement Cal.ЧН-2М/2603 17 jewels, fully serviced (cleaned, oiled, adjusted to 3 positions) and keeps very good time, average daily deviation is less than +/- 5-15 sec/day.
This is a mechanical watch and it has to be wind by hand once a day (preferably at morning) to make it run, no batteries required!
